Our Independence Day Adventure

Started off our 4th by getting up around 7am, putting our RED WHITE and BLUE on and heading to Acton to watch the annual 4th of July Parade. This year it was their 50th anniversary, so it was longer then the previous years, according to some people that go every year. Kadance was all fancied up with a red tutu, a tie dyed onesie I made her w/ USA in rhinestones and a sparkly bow that I made. She had a great time watching all the horses, goats, cars and Dancin' in Acton's dancers go by (While they were dancing on by, I told Kadance that Mama did that every year when she was younger, for a good 10 years or so) She really didn't respond LOL, I think she was way to mesmerized by the music and them dancing.
After the parade we took naps and then headed over to my friend since 1st grades parent's house for some 4th BBQing and swimming! Then headed to the Antelope Valley to sit in the desert and watch fireworks that were set off from the AV fairgrounds! Finding a place to park and watch the fireworks was an adventure and then even more of an adventure leaving.... There were so so so so many people out...it was just crazy. I think next year we will go somewhere not so so busy (wishful thinking...I know)
