This Makes for a Long Weekend

This past weekend Oct 14th - 16th was very busy busy! Starting Friday during the day I went downtown LA with my Dad to get stuff I needed for Lady Kadance. Then when I got home, Seth had to finish up hanging all his art for the show that opened at 7:00pm that night and he had to leave for work at 4pm. So, needless to say we were running around like crazy to get stuff done. After Seth left for work Chelsea Price was nice enough to do me a few favors, one being taking me back to the warehouse where the show was and finish up Seth's wall.
After getting back from the warehouse I decided a shower was number one on my list then getting Kadance ready to go to the show. Crystal came and picked Kadance and I up around 8 pm. When we got to the show, there weren't a whole bunch of people yet, but we were pretty early for the normal night owls. Funny; Crystal and I use to be those night owls, I guess things really do change when you get older, get married and have kids.
Saturday the 15th I tried to sleep in, but Kadance loves getting up between 7:30 and 8. This day marks the 6th Anniversary of Seth's sister Ashley leaving this world and going home. So, Jamie (Seth's Mom) always plans a get together to celebrate Ashley's life. This year we all met at Forest Lawn at Ashley's head marker around 2:30. Some of Ashley's closest friends, her family and even her employer she had when she passed was there. We all hang out, caught up with each other, laid flowers on Ashley's headstone, had some Heavenly Birthday champagne and Jamie read a little something she wrote about Ashley. On the way down the hill from Ashley's site we encountered 3 dears, grazing on flowers and plants that people have left at their loved ones graves. They got really close to our cars and I couldn't help but take pictures.

So, that night Seth, Kadance and I headed over to the Art Show around 8pm again. This time....it was a party till I believe even after we left and that was, mid-night! Stephanie and Art Kiesow came all the way from Lancaster to be apart of the show, I was so so so happy they came. I later on saw Susan and Jamie stopped by to celebrate in the love of Art. Meagan and Sam were there, they were there every night....huge and loving supports! Of course Meagan snatched Kadance out of my arms and had her put on her black rimmed glasses....she called her her hipster baby!!! =) too cute!
I am so proud of Seth for doing a wall again and showing people that he is an artist, not just a singer.  I believe you can be anything you want to be and no one should ever tell someone or act like someone shouldn't do something just because they don't see that person doing it. You can be anything you want to put your mind to.
Sorry getting a little deep =) I believe in things and I don’t really voice my opinion very often!
Sunday - yup there’s one more day....
Seth, Kadance and I met my parent’s at Santa Anita Racetrack around 10:30 am for the Burbank Road Kings car show. There were a little over 400 cars there and even though I am a lover of old cars, I decided I would be happy owning a 1936 Buick suicide doors special....in black of course! Yes I know that is the major mobster car.....I loves =)
Seth, had to leave around 12:30 to go and play in his last softball game of the season with Cooper and Chris. Kadance and I stayed with my parent’s, did some horse betting, lost some money, won some money and then met Seth for dinner before heading back for the last night of the Art Show. Yes, that’s right....the last night of the show. It was slow, but I took that night to make sure to take pictures of everyones work. I believe I took a good 100+ pictures. I hope you enjoy the photos below.

Lady Kadance & The first booth of the Holiday Season

Sorry I haven't been posting in the last couple weeks. I have been working really hard on a some new Lady Kadance product and was getting ready for our booth in Rosamond!

In the middle of getting ready for the show, I went to go visit my parents and we decided to go to the local antique/gift shop in town. To make a long story short, Lady Kadance is now in our first retail shop, Bullwinkles! I am so excited about being in a shop and even though I get a little over whelmed with juggling everything, I enjoy orders to be filled!

Now back to the Rosamond car show that we had a booth at. This booth we shared with Southern Sass Jewelry By: Chelsea Price. I road to Rosamond with my Dad at 5:45 am, I was really tired and needed major amounts of coffee. We arrived to the park in Rosamond around 6:45 am, we unloaded my Dad's car and then started to set up mine and Chelsea's booth. Chelsea arrived around 7:45 am with all her jewelry and jewelry holders. The show started at 9, so we had an hour and 15 to make sure everything was set up and ready to go! Through out the morning it was really slow and continued to be pretty slow all day. I sold a few items, but poor Chelsea didn't sell anything. The foot traffic wasn't heavy at all and it was a car show, not a craft show. Wondering why we decided to do this show.....it was free to have a booth, so I though heck anything we sell it's a profit and we aren't having to make up for the cost of having the booth. We just wish there were more people. Well our next show is going to be in Anaheim on the 29th of Oct. This one is a craft show, with entertainment and a parade! I will be posting all the information when the date get closer.
